Celebrating 37th Anniversary in Tokyo

  Saturday, June 12th was our 37th anniversary. To celebrate, we went sightseeing in Tokyo. Our first stop was Yoyogi Park, a very big park in the heart of Tokyo. It was nice to walk around and just observe people. One thing that struck me was the fact that this park in not covered in grass. It's mostly trees with dirt on the ground. But, people still picnic everywhere - with blankets laid out on the dirt.  We saw one group who had the typical "lightweight" tent set up and a police office went over and asked them to take it down. I guess tents are not allowed at this park (but I see them at all the other parks??) While strolling through the park we came upon a food truck selling chicken kabobs and super long French fries. The food looked and smelled so delicious we couldn't pass it up. It was interesting to order - the people running the food truck were not Japanese, but spoke some Japanese. One of them said he was from Turkey the other was from Iran. We ending up usi...
