Valentine's Day Dinner

In spite of COVID and all the restrictions surrounding eating in restaurants, etc... the US Army Japan Chaplain's office put a notice on Facebook that they were hosting a free prime rib dinner for married couples at the Camp Zama Golf Course Clubhouse. (I can't figure out why this is ok but restaurants are not?? but oh well!)

All you had to do was send an email requesting tickets (spots open for a total of 28 couples). I thought the chance of us getting tickets was slim - but we did! It was a very nice event and included the US Army Jazz Band and a sermon/keynote address by the base Chaplain on the importance of marriage.

After dinner they did an activity to see who was most recently married and who had been married the longest. Dad and I won the prize for the longest married. I decided its a little sobering to win that prize - it can only mean we are old!
