Tis the season!

I'm kind of self conscious about another post with fall leaves - but its what we do right now! This week Wednesday November 11th  was a US holiday (Veteran's Day). Having the day off gave us a chance to make a mid-week visit to one of Japan's popular spots for seeing "momiji" -Shosenkyo Gorge. The added enticement of this location is that on a clear day you get an awesome view of Fujisan!

We rented a van from the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation office (more about that in my next post) and invited a few friends to join us. In a turn of very good fortune we happened to have perfect weather that day!
